British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) Code of Practice CP4

paragraph :-

appropriate experience and knowledge)
it states that :-

The system is free from leaks by testing at the designated operating

Additionally, the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 require risks to people's health and safety from equipment that they use at work to be prevented or controlled.
In general, the regulations require that equipment provided for use at work is
a) suitable for the intended use
b) safe for use, maintained in a safe condition and in certain circumstances, inspected
to ensure this remains the case • used only by people who have received adequate
information, instruction and training and accompanied by suitable safety measures
e.g. protective devices, markings, warnings
Consequently, pipework that carries gases or cryogenic liquids under pressure must be suitable for the intended use, safe for use and maintained in a safe condition. |
